icnext: Ambassadors for Unity-Diller Teen Fellows

The youth leadership program is a three-year program for 10th, 11th, and 12th-grade students operated by the local municipalities of Beit Shean and the Valley of Springs. P2G support of this program helps establish local youth leadership and create and deepen the bond of these young leaders with their peers in the Cleveland Jewish community. The program seeks to bridge the gaps that exist between teens based on their cultures in the city, in the Valley, and in Cleveland. It also strives to cultivate leadership, responsibility, and personal empowerment among all its participants. In the first year of the program (10th grade), each local municipality acts independently, based on its own goals and approach, to formulate an involved and caring group of teens with a strong connection to the local community. In the middle year of the program (11th grade), a joint program for students from both Beit Shean and the Valley of Springs focuses on connecting the two groups of teens and teaching them about Jewish communities in the Diaspora. The program is supported by the Partnership, which assists and guides the staff leading the program and the construction of appropriate content. During this year, the Israeli students make contact with the parallel icnext program in Cleveland, and joint seminars take place both in Israel and in Ohio. In the first half of 12th grade, the program continues with a task-oriented year focused on Jewish peoplehood, striving to increase awareness on related issues among the teens.
