248 Initiatives

248 is a global network of Jewish “doers.” The program focuses on local community building initiatives and processes, and the reproduction and distribution of successful ideas to Jewish and Israeli communities around the world. The 248 network targets practical individuals from Beit Shean, the Valley of Springs, and the Cleveland Jewish community who are interested in community activism, issues on the agenda of the Jewish people, and harnessing the power of the Jewish collective for tikkun olam. Last year, we conducted a pilot with three Israeli participants. Following the success of that pilot, we decided to expand the program to ten participants from the three Partnership communities.
