Community development

Professionals from Beit She’an and the Valley of Springs together with non-jewish professionals from st. Clair superion in Cleveland foucused on issues such as demographic growth and community and urban development as part of a peer learning project. The project was initiated by the Bridge to the Future organization;managed by Partnership2Gether of Beit She’an, the Valley of Springs, and Cleveland;and supported by the Jewish Federation of Cleveland. Both delegations learned about similar challenges that face all the regions and identified initiatives and opportunities that could be applied to their local communities. The Jewish Federation of Cleveland feels it is vital to assist the more disadvantaged neighborhoods in the city, especially when such assistance provides an opportunity for cross-border professional peers training. The partners team from Beit She’an and the Valley of Springs are preparing to work on a plan for the next stage of the project, after receiving confirmation of a grant from the Semi J. and Ruth W. Begun Foundation for 2018-2019
