Living Bridge (Gesher Hai) between Schools is an educational framework that connects schools in the Partnership area with Jewish schools in South Africa. Each pair of schools develops and operates an annual educational program that brings students from Israel and abroad together with the following topics: Consciousness of belonging to the Jewish people Virtual encounter (face to face) among students Contact and commitment to Israel as the state and land of the Jewish people. Deepening acquaintance and connection to culture, Jewish tradition and the Hebrew language Familiarity and respect for the diversity and richness of Judaism Main activities during the year: Teachers seminar either in Israel or in South Africa Professional training led by twinning staff or volunteers sent to South Africa Participation of Israeli teachers in a course recognized by the Ministry of Education During the course of the course, the teachers receive theoretical and practical tools for working within the schools and are exposed to the discourse of the school twinning. Private visits of children from schools abroad in Israel. Regular activity in pairs: visits to Beit Hatfutsot, Mini Israel and Bible Lands Museum, video conferencing for the purpose of acquaintance and a joint holiday celebration, Skype calls and personal contact between students through virtual means, sending letters and packages,
