Community Birthright Central Galilee & Michigan The program focuses on introducing young people in the Detroit Jewish community (ages 2228) to their counterparts in the Partnership region and strengthening their ties. For each incoming Birthright mission from Detroit eight Israeli representatives from Central Galilee will be chosen to join the Americans for the duration of their Israel visit. The program includes an annual Mifgash (encounter), where Israelis travel to Detroit for five-days to learn about the Detroit Jewish community and reunite with their Michigan peers.
