Children at Risk: Bucharin and Ethiopian Olim Parents Program

The project provides Ethiopian and Bucharin families with guidance and skills to improve intra familial communication, in particular focusing on the parent child bond. Project coordinators and facilitators make home visits to at risk families in order to mitigate parental dysfunction and encourage the cultivation of positive parenting practices. In particular, the project aims to help parents set limits and discipline their children in an effective and safe manner. Focus is on the verbal and physical expression of feelings, consistency, and encouragement. The program also seeks to assist parents to better understand Israeli society.
