Andrew O. Smith has been a long-time member of the Board of Trustees of JewishColumbus (the JFNA-affiliate for central Ohio), where he has served on the JCRC, chaired its Committee on Trustees, and worked on the merger of the predecessor Columbus Jewish Federation with the Columbus Jewish Foundation. He has also served on the boards of the Ohio State University Hillel, the Leo Yassenoff Jewish Community Center, and Congregation Beth Tikvah, where he chaired a URJ Community of Practice initiative to reform the annual dues structure. He is active in AIPAC.

A native of Bath, Maine, Andrew has spent most of his career in manufacturing, starting as a management consultant in the commercial strategy practice of Booz Allen & Hamilton. Since 2019 he has been the Chief Executive Officer of Yenkin-Majestic Paint Corporation / OPC Polymers, a leading supplier of coatings resins to the paint industry. He earned an engineering degree and a finance degree from the University of Pennsylvania; then a JD and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

Andrew and his wife, Lavea Brachman, live in Columbus, Ohio and have two young-adult children. He has been a committee member since 2023.
