Arieh Azoulay Member of the Board of Governors

Dr. Arןeh Azoulay was born in Fez, Morocco, and served at the pioneering youth movement "Ha'Bonim." Immigrated to Israel in 1955, he joined Kibbutz Dorot and then Kibbutz Bror.
In 1967 moved to Ashdod, served as director of a highschool and than as the mayor of Ashdod (1989-1983). 
 He served as head of the Jewish Agency delegation in France;
Chairman of Board of Directors of the former community centers; Ofakim appointed mayor in 2008; A member of the World Zionist Organization and the Jewish Agency where he served as Co-Chair of the Aliyah and Absorption Department of the Jewish Agency in the years 1997 to 2006.
Doctor of Philosophy - History, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Dissertation topic: "Jewish youth movements in Morocco, 1944- 1964".
Currently a member of the Presidium of the Zionist Executive Committee and Chairman of "Beit Yad Le' Banim" -Ashdod.
