Rich Broder is one of the partners of Broder & Sachse Real Estate. He is responsible for all strategic activities of the company. Under Mr. Broder’s leadership, Broder & Sachse has grown from a start-up business to a full-service 3rd party property management, acquisition, and development company. Having sold the 3rd party business in 2017, Broder & Sachse now manages its own portfolio which currently has AUM of about $350 million.

Rich is a graduate of the University of Michigan where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Urban Studies. Upon graduation, he joined Farbman Stein and Company as a property manager and ultimately, Mr. Broder became Executive Vice President of Farbman Stein. Mr. Broder and his partner Todd Sachse formed Broder & Sachse in 1993.

Mr. Broder is involved in a variety of community and charitable organizations. He is a past President of the Hebrew Free Loan Association of Metropolitan Detroit. He is a past President of the International Association of Hebrew Free Loans, He serves on the Board of Governors of the Jewish Federation of Metro Detroit. He is a past chairman of Detroit’s P2G and is currently co-chair of its Israel and Overseas Department. He is also a board member of JAFINA and JAFI’s Partnership Global Council. Mr. Broder served as Treasurer of the Department of Drawings, Prints and Photography Board for the Detroit Institute of Arts, and currently serves as Treasurer of its Friends of Modern and Contemporary Art.

Mr. Broder lives in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan with his wife Lisa and has 2 grown children living in Chicago.
