Roberta Abrams is a past President of Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey and the immediate past chair of Federation’s Endowment Foundation. She has been involved in Jewish Federation since 2002 and her involvement has steadily grown. She served on Federation’s executive committee for more than five years prior to her presidency and continues to serve on the executive committee today.

Currently, Roberta serves as Jewish Community Relations Committee (JCRC) Chair and most recently chaired the Strategic Engineering Taskforce. Roberta has served on the Women’s Philanthropy Board for many years. This year, 2023, Roberta was the recipient of the Kipnis-Wilson/Friedland Award.

Previous positions at Jewish Federation include Vice President of Planning & Allocations and Vice president of Financial Resource Development.

Roberta has had extensive leadership experience in the community. Her roles include board member of Jewish Federations of North America; president of the local section of National Council of Jewish Women; a former member of the Executive Board of the JCCNNJ and a current Board member of the JCCNJ; board member of the Jewish Home Family and past president of Temple Beth Or, now called Kol Dorot, a reform Jewish Community. Roberta was also in the first cohort of the Berrie Fellows Leadership Program, sponsored by the Russell Berrie Foundation and Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey.

Roberta is the proud mother of Isaac and Max. She lives in Montvale, NJ.
