Philip serves on the boards of many Jewish organizations such as United Herzliya Schools (past Chairman and current Chairman of the Board of Trustees), the United Jewish Campaign (Chairman of the Board of Trustees), the South African Holocaust & Genocide Foundation (Trustee), Protector of the Ikamva Labantu Trust, Past Chairman of the South African Jewish Board of Deputies Cape Council, Member of the National Executive Committee of the South African Jewish Board of Deputies.

Internationally, he served as a member of the US/SA Business Development committee, which formed part of the Bi-National Commission, chaired by then Deputy President Thabo Mbeki and Vice President Al Gore. Professionally, he currently serves as the Executive Chairman of the Cape Union Mart Group of Companies.

Mr. Krawitz was educated at Herzliya High School and the University of Cape Town. He is the recipient of many awards, among them the Jaycee Distinguished Service Award; Cape Times Business Personality of the Year Award; Lexus Lifetime Achiever Award for contribution to reconciliation, change and empowerment in South Africa in the fields of business, the arts and philanthropy; Yakir Keren Hayesod Award and more.

He is married to Michele, they have three daughters and seven grandchildren.

He has been a member of the Board since November 2020.
