Jewish Agency Strategic Change Process

Whereas in October 2019 the Board of Governors adopted the document "The Jewish Agency for Israel – The Agent of the Jewish People - Executive Summary", adopted future Impact Areas for the Jewish Agency and authorized the Jewish Agency leadership and professional staff to present an updated vision and mission for approval prior to February 2020; and

Whereas since the above resolution to date, intensive work has been made by the Jewish Agency leadership and professional staff, while consulting with the Jewish Agency constituencies, Jewish Agency employees and other bodies; and

Whereas the Board of Governors started discussions on possible strategic goals arising from the Impact Areas; and

Whereas following the said work, conclusions were produced and updated products were developed,

Therefore be it resolved:

1. The Board of Governors approves the updated Vision and Mission, as detailed in the attached Appendix A.

2. The Board of Governors approves four Jewish Agency future Impact Areas, as follows:
- Aliyah
- Ensuring Global Jewish safety
- Connecting Jews worldwide to one another and to Israel
- Advocacy and impact on Israeli society on behalf of world Jewry

3. The Board of Governors authorizes the Jewish Agency leadership and professional staff, while consulting with the Jewish Agency constituencies and with members of the Board, to continue to focus and modify the strategic goals presented to the Board of Governors. The revised strategic goals, as well as a future budget outline, are expected to be presented to the Executive in April 2020 and later to the Board of Governors.
