Appointment of an Associate Member of the Executive

Whereas the Agreement for the Reconstitution of the Jewish Agency sets out in Section IIE. 5 that the Board of Governors may appoint up to 6 Associate Members of the Executive; and

Whereas the Board of Governors resolved in its session in October 2009 to appoint Mr. Jerry Silverman as an Associate Member of the Executive, in his ex officio capacity as the President and CEO of JFNA and further resolved that his term of office will continue as long as he occupies the position mentioned above, unless the Board resolves to terminate his term of office; and

Whereas Mr. Jerry Silverman no longer occupies the position of President and Chief Executive Office of JFNA and has been succeeded in this position by Mr. Eric Fingerhut;

Therefore be it hereby resolved:
To appoint, as of the date of this Resolution, Mr. Eric Fingerhut as an Associate Member of the Executive, in his ex officio capacity as the President and CEO of JFNA, in place of Mr. Jerry Silverman. His term of office as Associate Member of the Executive will continue as long as he occupies the position mentioned above, unless the Board resolves to terminate his term of office.
