Resolution for Multi-Year Funding: Ben Yakir Youth Village

Whereas:  The Jewish Agency established Ben Yakir youth village, a leading residential educational establishment for the benefit of immigrant youth and youth at risk; and
Whereas:  The Jewish Agency and Mr. Benny Levin (hereinafter known as ‘the Partners’) wish to each allocate an annual payment of $200,000 USD for funding the annual current budget of Ben Yakir during 5777 – 5779 (Sept. 1, 2016 – Aug. 31, 2019), subject to a matching multi-year commitment of the other partner; and
Whereas:  The Partners wish to sign an agreement specifying, inter alia, such multi-year commitment of both Partners; and

Therefore, following the approval and recommendation of the Budget and Finance Committee and of the Executive, the Board of Governors resolves as follows:
1. To approve a multi-year commitment of $200,000 USD per annum for The Jewish Agency’s support of the annual budget of Ben Yakir during 5777 – 5779, Subject to the signing of the agreement between the Partners.
2. The Finance Unit of The Jewish Agency is authorized to incur, on a multi-year basis, financial and other obligations for the implementation of the agreement as described here above.
