May 12 2016, in the Jerusalem Theater. The Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, the Speaker of the Knesset, Yuli Edelstein, the Minister of Education, Naftali Bennet, Chairman of the Jewish Agency, Natan Sharansky, and the Director-General of the Ministry of Education, Michal Cohen attended the event.

The Minister of Education, Naftali Bennet said: “The Bible was and continues to formulate the main identity of our nation. It is the source of our life, the source of our moral and social inspirations, and the source of our right to fight for our lives here, in the land of Israel. So I ask us all today: we love our country, so let’s stop the self-criticism festival. Let’s take out the generalizations against our nation, who has been dealing for the past six months against a wave of brutal terrorism. Our wonderful nation does this – not brutally, rather with dignity, not vehemently, rather with rare mutual responsibility. We must discontinue speaking badly of ourselves. The world is doing this well enough. The people of Israel are heroes, and maintain a strong spirit. The ordinary and simple people in the Nation of Israel, who dealt heroically with the terror and overcame it, deserve a meal.
