On Sunday April 2nd both communities in Broward County Florida and in Nesher, Israel gathered for the annual six million step walk.

It was the third Broward annual walk but the first time that it happened with the twin community in Nesher.

The goal of the walk is to raise holocaust awareness in both communities and to honor the holocaust survivors.

Each participant counted his steps and the goal was to achieve six million steps together.

In Nesher the event started with a special blessing from the Mayor Mr. Avi Bnamo honoring three holocaust survivors from Nesher who participated in the walk together with the youth groups, school student, young adults and families.

Israeli educators who participated that week in the School Twinning delegation from Nesher to Broward also participated in the walk and represented the Israeli schools in the Broward walk.
