THE PARTNERSHIP by Bracha - Week in Review: July 12-18, 2019 / Tammuz 9-16, 5779

The Partnership Center Ribbon Cutting ceremony will be August 13, 2019. You are all invited!! BIG THANK YOU to the Jewish Federation of St Joseph Valley for hosting a wonderful Summit. Your warm hospitality and attention to detail set the stage for a great meeting!

The South Bend Summit 2019 was an exciting “Mifgash” of close to 70 representatives from 14 US communities, Budapest and the Western Galilee. We met, learned new things, made new friends, saw old friends and went away with renewed spirit to bring back to our communities.

§  Chairs, Efrat and Michelle led us through the meetings with appropriate words, sounds, songs and dances!

§  Alan Potash (Omaha Exec) together with Isty(Budapest), Matt (Louisville) and Ori (Israel) gave us experiences and thoughts on Anti-Semitism today in our own communities and how the Partnership can play a role in fighting this.

§  Two synagogues in South Bend hosted us for dinners and we had the opportunity to see the buildings and meet some members.Thank you!!

§  Many thanks to Miriam Abramovich and Nicole Bard (Buffalo) who brought us into the world of the Engagement language and challenged us all to think how we can increase our meeting each person where they are and transition those relationships and network into the activities that we do. Only the beginning – we will continue this conversation!

§  Bringing Partnership Home – we had an opportunity to engage with many of our “champions” of programs to discuss doing “Partnership” when we go back home.

§  Tour of Notre Dame University: they do understand the power of tradition!

§  Welcomed Sharon Chait, our interim Partnership Director as she was in her first week on the job. Glad you have joined us!

§  Opportunity to dance with the day campers – Thank you Efrat!

In the Western Galilee, Heidi and Danit spent a impactful day with the Momentum (JWRP) women from Austin. Great group and lots of excitement to engage with the Partnership.

Next week will begin the move to The Partnership Center.

Shabbat Shalom,

Bracha
