Summit in South Bend, IN – July 14-16, 2019 The Partnership Center Ribbon Cutting ceremony will be August 13. You are all invited!! The Hungarian and Israeli Start Up Nation project team won third place in the semi-final Unistream Competition in Tel Aviv. Mazel tov!! The final competition is July 24 so we have to figure out how to bring back the Hungarian representatives!!

Ten BBYOers from Budapest spent a fun filled week with Akko teens.  The Akko teens will head to Budapest in November and join the Hungarians for an International Teen Leadership workshop.

With Heidi and Danit, hosted a unique group of adults, primarily from Dayton who are in Israel teaching at a summer camp for middle schoolers for a week in Deir-Al-Assad, an Arab village close to Akko. Thanks to Marti Moody(Dayton) for bringing this interesting group to meet the Partnership. 

Planning, planning for the Summit. We have over 62 people signed up - 14 US communities, Budapest, Matte Asher and Akko represented so far! South Bend is working hard to be the greatest hosts.

Planning with Buffalo staff who are  planning and facilitating our Engagement Seminar day at the Summit. We are in for a treat!

With Heidi, planning for many visits in July - the extended Simon family (Indianapolis), Austin JWRP women, Esther Katz (Omaha) who will be accompanying teens to a Dance Workshop in Gaaton (Matte Asher) and more!!

Getting ready to say good by to Judy Yuda who will be leaving as the director and become the director of the Friends of the Galilee Medical Center. Glad that she is staying in the neighborhood!

We are pleased to be oversubscribed for the Discovery trip in Oct. to the Western Galilee and Budapest with 19 participants.

Met with Alan Potash (Omaha Exec) while he is in Israel on a multi-agenda trip and will lead our discussion on “Anti-Semitism and Us” at the Summit.

South Bend is the first to announce that their COL participant will be a Church pastor who is the local head of the NAACP. He will be accompanied by Bob Feferman, CRC Director.
