Judy Katz (NW IN) and Champion of the P2G Discovery program was in the WG this week to sit with Tanya, Heidi, Avital, Noa, Judy and myself to make plans for the program. P2G Discovery is the experiential learning opportunity for young retirees to spend a week in the WG and Budapest for a more in-depth, up close and personal experience. This will be an opportunity to sit in Israelis' homes and meet places and personalities in the WG. Contact Heidi for more details. HeidiB@jafi.org

Carmit is working hard to plan for the Educators Delegation from Dec. 23-27 in the Western Galilee. Educators from Budapest, Buffalo, Dayton, Indianapolis, NW IN, Omaha and Toledo will spend time getting to know their educator counterparts and the classrooms with whom they have twinning relationships.

Avital has sent out the final schedule for the visit of Gary Levinson, world renowned violinist and 2 students, accompanied by Kim Goldberg (Ft Worth) who will be in Israel from Dec. 9-16. During their week in the WG, teaching and playing, they will give 3 concerts - at the home of Orit Katzinstein Guri in honor of the donors to the campaign to bring Community Opinion Leaders to Israel, in Shavai Tzion with students from the Akko and Matte Asher Conservatories and at ACAT together with an Arab oud virtuoso to celebrate multiculturalism in the Western Galilee. The Partnership looks forward to welcoming them!!

Met Avi Israeli, the new director of Garin Ometz. The Garin's latest project is a "Student Village", an organization of students who live in Akko and have now created a "Social Cafe" in the City Center on Thursday evenings. Come and visit!
