Last Thursday afternoon, a joint Hanukkah party using Skype was held with the participation of the 4th graders from Brenner school in Kfar-Saba and the Columbus Jewish Day School. The children from both side of the ocean were very excited. The children lit the Hanukkah candles, sang songs and participated in a quiz, holding quite difficult questions about Hanukkah. I was amazed to witness the deep knowledge  of all the children, answering the question of Eran Rosenberg from the CJDS and Miri Spector from Brenner.

There was also an exhibition of drawings sent by the CJDS to Kfar-Saba, and the Kfar-Saba children chose the winner in the drawing competition. Presents were sent earlier, and the Kfar-Saba children noticed the different writing on the dreidels - Ness Gadol Haya Sham (and not Po, as they are used to see).

The connection between Brenner School and the CJDS children is indeed wonderful, and I feel it is truly educational and brings many values.
