The Young Israeli Shaliach will personalize the connection to Israel, and to our Partnership city of Kfar Saba, for Jewish children and teens in Columbus. Charismatic and welcoming, he will serve as a role model Israeli, educate about modern Israel, and raise enthusiasm about traveling to Israel. The educational experiences offered by the Young Israeli Shaliach will occur in the context of both formal and informal Jewish learning institutions in our community, including congregational schools, youth groups, day school, and summer camp. This will help establish the participants positive connection to Israel as an essential component of their Jewish identity.
