Mishlavim

MISHLAVIM enables young adults with disabilities who hold exemptions from military service to integrate into National Volunteer Service (sherut leumi) in diverse areas open to all such volunteers throughout Israel. During participation in this program these young adults with impairments (whether physical, motor, cognitive, communicational, psycho/emotional) acquire and inculcate range of skills and values, including independence, initiative, responsibility, and perseverance. MISHLAVIM is a bridge to the workforce, a basis for continued education, and a foundation for acquiring a profession. It offers equal opportunity, a means to contribute to society, and social integration into the mainstream.
