Through its unique and tailor-made Summer Camps, Etgarim aims to help all special needs children, and provide them with an opportunity to enjoy summer vacation experiences as all other children in Israel receive. The proposed summer camp is for children and youth with disabilities in the Partnership region. The camp operates according to the organization's missions and educational activity, and focuses on empowerment through outdoor challenge sports, team work and connecting to nature. The goals of the project include providing a social response to summer activities for children and youth with disabilities, joy and social bonding, increasing and strengthening their sense of self-efficiency and their self-confidence, and strengthening ties with the environment and the community.
