Path to Peace

The Joint Jewish-Bedouin daycare center “Path to Peace” was founded in 2004. The Center currently serves fourteen Jewish and Bedouin-Muslim children aged 8-14, from Kiryat Gat and Rahat. The project addresses several circles of influence: 1) the support of a child in need (therapeutic and scholastic support, cultural enrichment; 2) work with the families in order to help change patterns at home (preventive measures to help families support each other, and learn to care for their children in an appropriate manner; 3) the program emphasizes coexistence, pluralism and respect for the other, thereby affecting the life of the child, the family, as well as the communities involved (a wider circle includes classmates in school, teachers and the entire community, as well as participants at Neve Hanna.
