Before Our Eyes: Cultural and Intergenerational Program for Holocaust Survivors

Remembering the Holocaust and caring for the survivors has become a significant subject in Israeli discussion. Holocaust survivors thirst for activities of cultural enrichment, as well as contact with the younger generations. Many survivors in Kiryat Motzkin participate, at no charge, in Mashmaut Center activities, usually intended for teachers and students. The Before Our Eyes program allows for additional activities, such as lectures and special events, both inside and out of Mashmaut Center. Moreover, the program creates an encounter between survivors, 2nd generation and 3rd generation, including IDF soldiers. Every group visiting from Orlando visits MASHMAUT center and is warmly welcomed and hosted by the staff (see attached report).
