Gesher Living Bridge Project

The goal of the Gesher Living Bridge Project is to create living bridges between teens from the GMW community and Israel, develop and strengthen a rich Jewish identity, Israel affiliation and involvement in ones own community. DESCRIPTION: leadership, Tikun Olan and ecology LB project between teens from Arad Ofakim and GMW. (10 Ofakim, 10 Arad, 11 GMW). The 3 program includes regular meeting during the year every 2 weeks (Israel side) and once a month (NJ side) with joint Seminars and VC between the groups. During the year the teens will go through a process of personal and group exploration, develop awareness to Tikun Olan and Ecology, build a community responsibility and strengthen the connection between the communities The curriculum divides into 3 pillars Jewish Identity, community (ecology) and Tikun Olam. It includes 2 mifgahim (encounters), a visit to GMW community during Yom Hazamout celebrations and a counter visit to Israel of the American group (time to be determined).
