Cincy Fellow to Netanya

For 14 years Cincinnati has had the opportunity to learn about life in Israel, its culture, heritage, and history and make person to person relationships with "real" Israelis, through the Chaverim M’Israel program. These Israeli teens move into host homes and teach all over Cincinnati, furthering the goals of our Partnership and JAFI. It is time now to be able to bridge the gap between Cincinnati and Netanya by bringing one post college young adult to Netanya to teach about Jewish life in the USA, Jewish Pluralism, and further the Jewish Peoplehood agenda. Goals: To create personal connections between communities of Cincinnati and Netanya/ the Diaspora and Israel. Objectives: To enhance Israeli understanding and knowledge about life in the Diaspora, specifically the USA and Cincinnati To teach American culture and Jewish Diaspora life to Netanya schools and young adults and families. To expand the exposure of Jewish Pluralism in Netanya The community of Netanya, which engages with the Reverse Chaver, will have increased knowledge about and understanding that Jews in the USA are also committed to Judaism and Israel. To help with follow up programming of P2G Delegations To provide more meaningful and engaging relationships for school populations and especially young adults with a friend from the USA.
