The event was organized by the Israel Program Center of the Minneapolis Jewish Federation and was co-sponsored by many organization, including Minnesotans Against Terrorism. Over 300 people attended the event. Hundreds of postcards to Gilad were written by attendees and will be send to the Red Cross as a major campaign to have them pressure Hamas to allow the Red Cross to visit him.
