Delivery of Purim Packages in Ashkelon by American Zionist Movement

March 9, 2009 / 13 Adar 5769

The AZM American Zionist Movement asked Marty Davis, (right) Director of the Department for Zionist Activities of the World Zionist Organization, to distribute Purim packages/ baskets and flashlights to soldiers and residents of Ashkelon. The packages were delivered to the Amit School that was hit by a rocket last Saturday and given out to the children before they left on a day trip. The children had been relocated to a community center for their studies. A staff member of Neve Chana Childrens’ home from Kiryat Gat also picked up packages.

Marty Davis, Dr. Mark Mosk (a member of Congregation North Surburban Beth El in Chicago) and Terri Davis delivered the packages to Ashkelon’s two Jewish Agency Absorption Centers, the Children’s Department in Barzilai Hospital, 4 Naamat Day Care Centers, Project Ken (Single Parent Project), five Tali Kindergartens, Neve Dekalim School which was hit by a grad rocket last month and Ashkelon Soldiers. All of the children are grateful to AZM who made this project possible.
