The event, held before the opening of the GA, included dozens of alumni from both Taglit Birthright Israel and the Jewish Agency's MASA-Isarel Journey, and Federation and Hillel leadership.

“Our aim should be that 100 percent of young Jews should be connected with Israel - we have to make sure we reach everyone," Sharansky said.

This was the first time an event was held with the leadership of both Birthright, which attracts young Jews for a 10 day trip to Israel, and of MASA, which promotes a semester or year of study or volunteering in Israel and is a joint project of the Government of Israel and the Jewish Agency.
