Gap Year in Israel B.A 2019

British youth movements with on going connections in the Northern Galil Partnership regions choose to include a volunteer period of their Gap Year in a community program in the region. This period provides unique opportunities to experience Israeli life and integrate into the community. Participants have a full program of volunteer work and activities in schools, community centers and community organizations, an enrichment program and Ulpan. The enrichment program involves learning about the region, connecting with its people, their culture, heritage and geography. This period helps Gap Year participants develop Jewish values, a close connection with Israel and the ability to make Jewish choices in independent living. Many establish long lasting relationships with their host families. In 2013 14, the Partnership operated Gap Year programs for Netzer in Karmiel, B'nei Akiva in Merom Galil, and Hano'ar Hatzioni in Ma'ale Yosef with a total of 44 British participants. During sukkot 2013 the Partnership organized a four day seminar in the region for FZY Gap Year participants.
