    “Birthright” Students from New Orleans Visit Rosh Ha’ayin

    Last month, a group of 42 students from Tulane University in New Orleans landed in Israel, as part of a Birthright trip. The group was joined by eight soldiers from Rosh Ha’ayin who joined them for a week. Two days later, the group arrived for a visit in Rosh Ha’ayin in the framework of the “Birthright2GETHER” program of “Partnership2Gether Rosh Ha’ayin-New Orleans” by the Jewish Agency for Israel, connecting Rosh Ha’ayin to the Jewish community in New Orleans.

    P2G Delegation – Leading New Orleans Chefs to Israel

    Four world renowned chefs from New Orleans visited Israel for a week in June, including award-winning chef John Besh who was rated by Food & Wine magazine as one of the ten best chefs in the United States. The mission visited Israel as part of a partnership project between the Jewish Agency and Rosh HaAyin, in conjunction with; the IDF, the Ministry of Tourism and the Israel Chef Association.

    Mission of Israeli Experts Attends Emergency Situation Management Conference in the United States initiated by Rosh HaAyin-New Orleans Partnership2Gether

    In early December 2013 a mission of leading health, emergency and rescue professionals traveled to New Orleans to participate in a conference on the topic of deploying for emergency situations. The conference, which was initiated by the Jewish Agency’s Rosh HaAyin-New Orleans Partnership2Gether, was held based on the two communities’ common experience in coping with emergency situations and tragedy.

On Tuesday the group arrived for a visit in Rosh Ha’ayin in the framework of the Partnership’s “Birthright2GETHER” program of “Partnership2Gether” project of the Jewish Agency for Israel, connecting Rosh Ha’ayin to the Jewish community in New Orleans

    NOCCA Music Delegation Visit Rosh Ha’ayin

    “When you are in a performance, don’t be scared of making mistakes, play in a way that makes your audience wants to get up and dance.” With these words, pianist and teacher Michael Pellera ended the New Orleans jazz artist’s master class with the big band and gospel ensembles from Begin High School. And we all benefited from the result at the Jazz Sounds of Partnership– Rosh HaAyin-New Orleans Festival, which comprised two wonderful evenings of jazz at the end of May.
