Whereas the Jewish Agency has stood for the principle of Jewish Unity not unanimity for decades; and

Whereas the Jewish Agency continues to support the need for Jewish religious pluralism within the State of Israel; and

Whereas the conversion to Judaism of many Israeli citizens who came to Israel with the assistance of the Jewish Agency remains an acute issue; and

Whereas the Government of the State of Israel has passed a resolution that will positively affect the efforts of many of these citizens to formally join the Jewish People through a religious portal, including recognizing the authority of the local Rabbinical courts for conversion;

Therefor be it resolved that:

The Jewish Agency will publicly support adherence to the Government Resolution on conversion and calls upon the Ministry of Justice to take the steps necessary to implement this Government Resolution without delay.
