Appointment of Associate Members of the Executive

WHEREAS the Agreement for the Reconstitution of the Jewish Agency sets out in Section II E. 5 that the Board of Governors may appoint  Associate Members to the Executive, and that no more than six Associate Members shall serve at any time; and

WHEREAS the Board of Governors resolved in October 2000 to appoint a number of Associate Members of the Executive who, in accordance with that Resolution, would continue to serve as such while occupying the posts mentioned next to their names, unless their term of office be terminated by a subsequent resolution of the Board; and

WHEREAS Mr. Jay Sanderson, who served in accordance with this decision as an Associate Member of the Executive, no longer occupies the position of Chairman of the Large City Executives of JFNA, and has been succeeded in this position by Mr. Jason Shames;

THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED:

To appoint, as of the date of this Resolution, Mr. Jason Shames as an Associate Member of the Executive, in his ex officio capacity as the Chairman of the Large City Executives of JFNA, in place of Mr. Jay Sanderson. His term of office will continue whilst he occupies the position mentioned above, unless terminated by a subsequent resolution of the Board.
