Yitzhak Rabin Memorial Day

Rabin Memorial Center

Two decades have passed since Yitzhak Rabin's assassination. This memorial day is dedicated, according to the law passed by the Government of Israel, to educational activities commemorating Rabin's legacy, as well as to the importance of democratic values and the threat of violence presented to the society and the State. It seems like these themes are especially relevant in the contemporary troublesome Israeli reality.

In cooperation with the Yitzhak Rabin Center, we at the School Twinning Network produced four comprehensive series of lesson plans for elementary and high school students. The following series deal with such values as freedom of speech and connection to Israel. These are two very relevant issues that present us with an opportunity to engage our twin students in a meaningful conversation with their peers across the sea. All of the lesson plans are modular, written in English and Hebrew, include a virtual Mifgash component.
