Building community Resilience in times of Emergency Seminar

Shoham and Venezuela communities are celebrating 20 years of friendship and partnership. In the past years, Venezuela has been under a severe political crisis; since 2009 diplomatic relations with Israel were broke off. However, the relations between Shoham and the Jewish community in Venezuela are continuing – Through People – to – People connections, where Shoham is a home to the community in Venezuela. Four representatives from the Jewish community in Venezuela participated in the seminar " Building community Resilience in times of Emergency" during Chanukah, which was designed to provide additional professional tools and techniques dealing with resilience in times of emergency, as well as creating professional and personal connection between the Venezuelan delegation and the local community in Shoham. Content of the seminar included field-based learning, exposure to the topic of resilience through NATAL workshops, meeting Jewish Agency Executive Management, and candle lighting with Jewish Agency Chair Isaac (Bougie) Herzog.
