The Yeruham Robotics Program has gained a reputation over the years and is known throughout the Negev, the nation and even the world. The program enables Yeruham students to join a leading group and concurrently with their science and technology studies, which they truly enjoy and have a passion for, to improve their self esteem and leadership skills. As part of the program, a robotics team is established in Yeruham for all three high schools. Beyond building a robot, the participants compete in national and international competitions, contribute to the community and support younger teams in Yeruham, the Negev, Israel and worldwide, placing an emphasis on helping and empowering weakened populations such as girls and Bedouins.
