A program of the Gilboa Community Centers, The Jewish Arab Joint Basketball Team for Girls is a program that brings together neighbors that wouldnt have met otherwise. A group of girls from the Jewish and Arab villages in the Gilboa region meet each other through basketball. Through sports the girls practice the values of respect, dialogue, teamwork and more. This is the first time in the Gilboa region that Arab teen girls are integrating with Jewish society, and the fact that it is done through sports is unique in traditional Arab society.
