Sal Klita – Financial Assistance

Financial assistance in the 6 months following your Aliyah

Sal Klita (Hebrew: absorption basket) is financial assistance, paid by the Ministry of Absorption (Misrad Haklita) to Olim, Ezrachim Olim and Katinim Chozrim. Total assistance is based on family size and composition.

Be sure to advise your Aliyah representative at the Ministry of Absorption if you will be leaving the country at any time in these initial 6 months. 
 

                Who is eligible?

Olim and Ezrachim Olim who, in the three years prior to their Aliyah spent less than 24 months in Israel, and who in the seven years prior to their Aliyah spent less than three years in Israel – other than on specific approved programs.

Katinim Chozrim

 

                Where is it arranged?

Payments are organized through Misrad Ha'Aliyah ve'Haklita (Ministry of Aliyah and Absorption).

You will need to make an appointment with a representative at your local Ministry of Aliyah and Absorption office

All payments are made by bank transfer, except:        

o    Olim who did not previously hold A1 status and who arrange their Aliyah through Jewish Agency for Israel offices overseas – a cash payment will be made at Ben Gurion Airport

o    Ezrachim Olim who hold Israeli passports and who arrange their Aliyah through Jewish Agency for Israel offices overseas – a cash payment will be made at Ben Gurion Airport
