0Ulpan: Intensive Hebrew Language Programs for new immigrants are usually housed within Absorption Centers, and include five hours of intensive, immersive Hebrew-language instruction, five days a week, for five months.
In 1949, The Jewish Agency created this essential resource for olim which and has served as the model for all immigrant Hebrew-language courses in Israel.
The instructors, who are certified by the Ministry of Education, weave together a variety of techniques to help students improve their skills. Classes are taught at several levels and include trips and units on Israeli culture to enhance the learning experience.
There are a range of options located all over the country to suit your absorption needs.
Contact your local shaliach to discuss which ulpan is most suitable for you and for more information about Jewish Agency residential Ulpan programs.
