Danny Lamm Member of the Board of Governors

Dr. Danny Lamm AM, serves on the Board of Governors of the Jewish Agency for Israel.  He served as the President of the Zionist Federation of Australia 2014 - 2018. He is President of the Mizrachi Organisation in Australia and a Past President of the Executive Council of Australian Jewry 2010 – 2013.

From 2002 to 2010, Dr. Lamm was the President of the Zionist Council of Victoria. Danny has been communally active since his teens. Among his many communal responsibilities over the years Dr. Lamm has been the President of the UIA Young Adults, and UIA 20s-30s, and in this capacity he established the first UIA Young Leadership Mission to Israel from Australia. Dr. Lamm currently sits on the executive bodies of the Zionism Victoria, the Zionist Federation of Australia and is Vice Chairman of the World Mizrachi Organisation.

Under Dr. Lamm’s leadership, the Zionist Federation of Australia developed its capacity and effectiveness in hasbara, leadership development, engagement with general communal organisations and their leaders and in the provision of a range of activities and services to connect people from the Jewish community more strongly with Israel.

Together with his wife, Dr. Rolene Lamm, and their eldest son Rafi, Dr Lamm established the Lamm Jewish Library of Australia, the biggest collection of literary Judaica in the southern hemisphere, bringing together the collections of six separate libraries. He is the Immediate Past Chairman of Beth Weizmann Jewish Community Centre in Melbourne. (2002 - 2013) during which time he oversaw the tripling of the size of the centre.

Dr. Lamm is a dentist by profession. He has been a board member of the Va’ad Hapoel since 1997, is a member of the Board of Governors of the Jewish Agency for Israel and recently retired as it's Chairman of the Aliyah & Rescue Committee.  Dr. Lamm is a member of the extended executive of the World Zionist Organisation.
