Richard Sandler Member of the Board of Governors

Richard Sandler is the executive vice president and a trustee of the Milken Family Foundation. He has been involved with the Milken Family Foundation since its formation in 1982 and has contributed time and support to the Foundation’s many initiatives in education and medical research.

Richard is the immediate past Chair of The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles and serves on a number of non-profit boards including the American Jewish University, Milken Community High School, and the University of California at Berkeley Foundation. He is also a member of the board of directors of the Prostate Cancer Foundation and the Milken Institute.

He is a partner in the law firm of Maron & Sandler, specializing in business restructurings and acquisitions, securities transactions and real estate. He has been an investor for over 25 years, including acting as the managing partner of various partnerships investing in commercial and industrial real estate projects, and other business transactions. He serves on the boards of directors of a number of companies, and is a member of the State Bar of California and the American Bar Association. Sandler graduated magna cum laude from the University of California, Berkeley, and received his law degree from UCLA Law School.
