Steven Lowy Member of the Board of Governors

Steven Lowy is a Principal of LFG, the private investment business and family office of the Lowy Family Group. For over 30 years he was an executive director of the global shopping centre company Westfield Corporation serving as co-Chief Executive Officer for many years prior to its sale in June 2018. He is the non-executive Chairman of OneMarket Limited, director of the Lowy Institute, a director of the Lowy Medical Research Institute and President of Hakoah Club.
He has served as a non-executive director of Scentre Group, Chairman of Football Federation Australia, President of the Board of Trustees of the Art Gallery of New South Wales (now a Life Governor), Chairman of the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute (now a Life Patron and Governor), Presiding Officer of the NSW Police Force Associate Degree in Policing Practice Board of Management and an inaugural member of the Prime Minister’s Business-Government Advisory Group on National Security.
Steven and his family are leading philanthropists in Australia, United States and Israel. He and his wife, Judy, have been working for and supporting Keren Hayesod-UIA since the mid-late 1980s. In the early 1990s Steven chaired the Young Leadership Division in New South Wales and chaired International Young Leadership in mid-late 1990s. In 1998 Steven was awarded the Avi Hai KH International Award for Young Leadership. Since then Steven has worked to assist the Major Donors Division in New South Wales.
Steven received an Order of Australia (AM) from the Australian Government in 2010 for service to business, and philanthropic support for the arts and culture, medical research and social policy organisations.
Steven was born in Sydney in 1962. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the University of New South Wales. He and his wife, Judy, have four children – Josh (married to Britt), Claudia, Rina and Jonah. His interests include the community, football, the arts, medical research and foreign policy.

He serves as a member of the board and the Executive since July 2019.
