Appointment of an Associate Member of the Executive

>WHEREAS >according to Section II E. 5 of the Agreement for the Reconstitution of the Jewish Agency the Board of Governors may appoint Associate Members to the Executive, and no more than six Associate Members shall serve at any time; and

WHEREAS currently there are five Associate Members of the Executive, that are senior professionals of the Jewish Agency and the Constituencies; and

WHEREAS Mr. Yaakov Aharoni was recently appointed as Director General of the World Zionist Organization;

THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED:

To appoint Mr. Yaakov Aharoni, in his ex officio capacity as the Director General of the World Zionist Organization, as an Associate Member of the Executive, as of the date of this Resolution. His term of office will continue whilst he occupies the position mentioned above, unless terminated by a subsequent resolution of the Board.
