Condolences to the family of our esteemed colleague Mark Finkelstein z’l and to the entire Jewish Federation of Greater Des Moines on his untimely passing. He served as the Partnership staff person for Des Moines since the inception of the Partnership. May his memory be for a blessing.

• The 3 Garinim of Lone Soldiers enjoyed an action packed tiyul to the Golan last weekend, thanks to the Lone Soldier Fund created by a special Over and Above allocation from the Jewish Federation of Omaha. Many thanks to Omaha! Anyone wanting to contribute to the Fund- Donations can be made through your local federation.
• Omaha is on the Partnership map this past weekend- Almost 30 teens enjoyed home hospitality with their peers in the Western Galilee. Connections for life….
• Meetings with Yad La’Banim (the Memorial organization for Fallen Soldiers) and the Buffalo federation to create a connection to the families of fallen soldiers before Remembrance Day. If others are interested, please contact Avital avitalbe@jafi.org
• Planning for the Fly-IN – over 25 registered already- and for visits to communities before and after of the Israeli delegation. Efrat Srebro, Sharon Chait, Albert Ben Shloush, Dr. Assaf Shemesh, Tanja Ronen and I will be visiting communities.
• After the success of the recent Music2Gether, there is a possibility that the directors of the Music Conservatories of Akko and Matte Asher will travel to visit communities to create connections with other communities’ Conservatories. Is there a Music Conservatory in your city that would be interested? Avital is the one!!
• Bicycle riders, where are you??? Anyone who is an enthusiast and would want to bike beautiful Israel, learn more about Israel’s amazing initiatives in sustainability and more… Contact Heidi heidib@jafi.org
• This past Sunday was a parlor meeting in the TPC to acquaint Israel artists with the Create2Gether Artists Seminar in Budapest- May 6-13, 2020.
