WE HAVE MADE HISTORY!! THE FIRST PARTNERSHIP CENTER TO BE CONSTRUCTED FOR THAT PURPOSE!  THREE  PARTNERSHIPS OFFICE THERE AND WE SHARE THE FACILITIES WITH THE YOUNG ADULT CENTER OF MATTE ASHER.

The day began with a meeting of a representation of past chairs and present chairs of the Partnership: Rami Raz, David Laron, Michael Aaronson, Efrat Srebro from the Western Galilee and Harold Gernsbacher, Dave Ravitch and Michelle Korin from the Consortium. Discussed the DNA of our Partnership – innovation, “Do it” mentality, creating Israel connection for small communities, power of the collective…Heading to the future we need about how we become self-sustaining.

Continued to lively discussion around the lunch table at a very cute café (great food!) by a young chef who has carved out a place in Kibbutz Rosh Hanikra (our new neighbor!)

Wound up the mountain to Hanita to visit the Dany and Michal Calderon glass workshop and heard from Dany the artist about how he creates handmade, unique tableware for restaurants and hotels around the world.

Went next door to a tour of Yuval’s Julius distillery to hear his story and taste the products!

Back to TPC – pre-meeting with Yitzhak Herzog, Chair of the Jewish Agency for Israel. He was interested in hearing about the Partnerships and their impact.

Planted an olive tree in the front of the building and CUT THE RIBBON!!

Joined over 150 people in the Gernsbacher Family Hall for the very moving ceremony – Words from Moshe Davidovitch, Matte Asher Mayor; Aryeh Deri, Minister of the Interior, Yitzhak Herzog, JAFI Chair; Efrat and Michelle, Partnership chairs and Harold Gernsbacher, TPC Campaign chair. We sang Hatikva as we watched the sun set into the Mediterranean Sea.

Donors are recognized on the large plasma screen in the lobby. Always room for more who would like to continue supporting the buildings and programs in the future.

Dedicated a sign in the entrance to the Partnerships offices in memory of our friend and colleague, Damon Rose Z”l. His family, colleagues and friends were in attendance as we spoke of his legacy to the Partnership world.

Dinner and toasts with our Consortium representatives from California, Dallas, Indianapolis, NW IN and South Bend and partners from the Western Galilee.

YOU ARE ALL INVITED TO COME VISIT!!

SHABBAT SHALOM!!
