The violinists visit accompanied by Kim Goldberg ended on a high with a concert marking the multiculturalism of the Western Galilee with Gary and Musa, the oud player from Sheich Danun. Over 70 people were in the audience at ACAT. Gary Levinson is interested  to work with the conservatories of Akko and Matte Asher to create a joint youth orchestra.

The Partnership Center is quickly becoming a reality. Now is the time to join us - check out the flyer for giving opportunities!

Working hard to bring in additional donations from Israel and the US and collect on commitments before the end of the year.

Carmit has been busy getting ready to welcome the Educators Delegation on Sunday. The educators from 7 communities will have a chance to see varied educational frameworks, meet with their twinned teachers and classrooms and gain tools to take back home.

Planning for the Communities Council - 28 Americans registered and 16 Israelis - 12 US communities, Akko, Matte Asher and Budapest.... its not too late! Please be sure to make your hotel reservations as well.

Working with Buffalo and Youngstown on refining the  grant requests from many local Western Galilee organizations. Another way that the Consortium is making an impact on the Western Galilee.

The committees- staff and chairs are busy developing work plans for 2019-2020. We are using the new project cards this year and each project will have goals and measurable objectives. Judy is putting the booklet together and it will be available in advance of the CC.

The next cohort of the Israeli YA Leadership forum is in formation and is being facilitated by alums of the first cohort together with Gil. They will meet monthly this year and plan to visit Consortium communities in the fall.
