THE PARTNERSHIP by Bracha - Week in Review: July 25–Aug. 1, 2019 / Tammuz 23-Av 2, 5779

Have you recruited your city’s participant for the Community Opinion Leaders mission February 17-23, 2020?

The Partnership Center is beautiful! The staff is working from the building as we work out the kinks, finalize the signage and hang Mezuzot. Yesterday there were 3 simultaneous events in the TPC!

Preparing for the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. We are in a sea of details!!

At the ceremony, a plaque in memory of Damon Rose will be unveiled which will hang in the TPC. Damon was the second director of the Partnership, took us to a new level, from 2002-2007 and then became the Director of all the northern Partnerships. He died at age 51 in 2012.

Esther Katz (Omaha), Partnership staff person spent time with all of the staff and had the opportunity to see many of the sites and programs while she is here with her four student dancers who are at the Kibbutz Dance Company seminar in Ga’aton.

Planning for 12 young adults (Israel and Budapest) to travel to Austin to join their Young Adult retreat this November. In addition they will visit Fort Worth, San Antonio and Indianapolis. Do you have a group of YA that would like to connect to others? Contact Gil gilk@jafi.org

Rena Neiger is returning to be the Partnership staff in Dayton. Glad to have you back!

Aniko Phenix (Budapest) will be spending a month (late Aug- late Sept.) guest lecturing at IU arranged through Jeremy Price (Indianapolis.) Exciting!

The Israeli contingent from the Summit met together with the Chairs to share their warm feedback and excitement over the visit in Indianapolis and at the Summit.

Working on raising money for the next cohort of Women Leading a Dialogue. This program has be shown to be very impactful to the women and the communities that have hosted. We have secured $45,000 from the Omaha federation, Julian Grace Foundation and the Thomases Family Endowment. We need to raise an additional $20,000. Ideas??

SHABBAT SHALOM!!

Bracha
