Hosted a lively group of young post - Birthright Hungarians for a day in the region. They interacted with young people in the Western Galilee, painted a kindergarten, visited a number of organizations and had a great time!

Through EVP, there are 3 fire fighters from Ft Worth who arrived to volunteer this week to support local fire fighters in their struggle against the "burning kites" in the south of the country. Was front page news in the Jerusalem Post today!

Continuing individual phone calls with all the communities' Execs. Will be finishing up round one next week.

Was honored to be a judge of Start- ups at the annual national Unistream competition in Tel Aviv. Unistream with a large center in Akko gives teens in the periphery the chance to build their own start up ventures. The Akko Center receives support from the Thomases Family Foundation (Youngstown) through Partnership  over and above donations- Tikun Olam-  to local Israel initiatives. So far... around the GA: Representatives from Indianapolis and San Antonio will visit the WG before. After we will host missions from Buffalo and NW IN. If you know someone coming, please be in touch!

Buffalo is working on the logistics to bring Jenan and Iyad to participate in their Premier Summer Celebration, their Major donor kick-off for the campaign on August 30th. Buffalo will be giving their donors the opportunity to contribute over and above dollars to initiatives in the Western Galilee!
