Welcome to our newest community, Peoria, IL. Look forward to meeting you at the Summit!

Welcome to Steve Rothschild the newly appointed Executive Director at the Jewish Federation of Greater Toledo.

Next week we will welcome MANY visitors to the Western Galilee:

o   The Hungarian partners of the Akko Naval School in the Start Up Nation project will arrive for the competition in Tel Aviv and spend 5 days with their partners.

o   BBYO from Budapest – 10 teens will be hosted by Akko teens for the week.

o   Steve Sarowitz, originally hailing from NW IN will be in Akko with his sister and nephews. He is very involved with ACAT in Akko and similar centers in the US.

Israel Partnership Committee Chairs and champions met and discussed “What does Engagement look like from our side of the pond? How do we create initiatives through engaging with our American and Hungarian partners?"

The Education Committee had an Appreciation Evening for all the teachers and principals involved in twinning. Kudos to Chair Tony and Carmit for creating a delightful evening!

The Partnerships’ staff from the office took Judy for an intimate breakfast in thanks and appreciation for her dedication and professional leadership of  the Partnerships over this past 5 year period as she will be leaving her position at the end of June. More to come!!

Committee Chairs met with those traveling to the  Summit to better acquaint them with the many initiatives of the Partnership.

Visited The Partnership Center – the furniture is being assembled and the signage is in process. A donation of $1000 will give you a place among the donors who are making this spectacular building a reality! Pledge by return email.

Participated in a meeting sponsored by the NY Jewish Federation on creating strategies and networks for Israelis who have experienced US Jewish communities to return and share their experiences and concern for Jews throughout the Jewish world with other Israelis. Creating a shared Jewish future.

At the Forum of Community Representatives, learned more about Israeli businesses and their extensive philanthropic endeavors through an organization called Ma’ale.

Planning, planning for the Summit. We have over 60 signed up - 14 US  communities, Budapest, Matte Asher and Akko represented so far! With input from Michelle and Efrat, the Buffalo staff is working hard to create an engaging day on Engagement for Monday of the Summit.

Now is the time to recruit a non-Jewish leader for the Community Opinions Leaders trip in February 2020.

Shabbat Shalom, Bracha
